Virtual Sound + Motion incorporated in 1993 as a multi-track digital recording facility specializing in CD-ROM and multimedia development. We created our own network of advanced Macintosh, Silicon Graphics and Windows PCs, storing and transferring massive amounts of data at a time when most people thought 10GB of hard drive space was immense.

In 1995 we renamedthe company vsm.net, as we had grown from an electronic media production facility into a technology services company. We had already begun building a TCP/IP-based centralized network for some of our clients to access, and this experience allowed us to create a highly stable, scalable and robust system for website, database, office management and commerce serving.

Companies of all sizes interested in the Macintosh have called on vsm.net to enhance or replace their Windows-based networks with fast, easy-to-use, virus-resistant Macintosh clients and servers. The Company's own network has been solely on Macintosh since day one, a fact that stems from the owners' experience with the Macintosh since it was first introduced in 1984.

We use state-of-the-art, 128-bit encrypted server software on our own machines, which we upgrade and maintain in secure facilities with redundant power and Internet connectivity. We have a direct connection to the Internet backbone through two major suppliers.
